The number of new cases reported this morning sits at four - with 1 for Jiangsu province, and 3 from Zhejiang – bringing the official tally to 91 cases (+ 1 asymptomatic  PRC positive case in Beijing), and 17 fatalities.

While new cases are being reported every day, somewhat reassuringly, we have not seen the kind of explosive growth in case counts that would suggest efficient human-to-human transmission of an influenza virus.

That having been said, exactly how these 90+ people have been exposed to this virus remains unclear (see Branswell On The Paucity Of H7N9 Positive Poultry), and the epidemiological investigation continues.
